Ipsos Changes Asia Pacific Structure
Paris, 6 February 2017 – Ipsos announced an organizational change in Asia Pacific (APAC) to strengthen connections with clients and position itself stronger to deliver growth strategies in one of the most dynamic regions in the world.
Effective 1 January 2017, Ipsos in China will operate as a region by itself. China is one of Ipsos’ biggest markets globally where huge business opportunities are left untapped. Lifeng Liu will be Ipsos China’s Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
“Lifeng’s passion for and knowledge of China are immense. He knows the heartbeat of the market and very much tune to it. Accelerating growth will be one of his key priorities,” said Didier Truchot, Ipsos Group Chairman and CEO.
Lifeng is a home-grown entrepreneur and a researcher at heart. He started a full pledge market research agency called FAMS in China in 1997. It grew steadily and became one of leading local research agencies. In 2002, Ipsos acquired FAMS and for the past 15 years, Lifeng has successfully led the China business. In addition to this, his role as the CEO of the region from 2010 to 2016 contributed significantly to making Ipsos one of Asia Pacific’s largest research agencies.
It is now the right time for Lifeng to refocus on China, one the largest and most dynamic markets in the world.
Christophe Cambournac takes on the CEO role of new APAC region comprising Australia & New Zealand, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Thailand, Indonesia, Singapore & Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, Philippines and India.
Said Didier, “with Christophe’s collaborative leadership style, I am confident that the he and the APAC team will continue the success we have experienced in the region.”
